Accessibility

Visiting the Cannstatter Volksfest is also possible for people with disabilities.

Tips for people with disabilities

The Wasen parking lot (P10) offers ground-level access to the grounds

Parking is free of charge with a “G” badge

If traveling by public transport, the Volksfest line U11 also takes wheelchair users to the Wasen without barriers

There is a toilet for people with care needs (toilet for all).

Barrier-free folk festival

Almost all festival streets and alleyways at the Krämermarkt are asphalted and the entrances to all tents are equipped with wheelchair-accessible ramps.

There are free, assisted toilets for people with disabilities in the festival tents and, of course, on the fairground. Festival hosts and snack bar operators are very helpful and remove beer benches on request so that wheelchair users can comfortably roll up to the tables.

Whether it's the Ferris wheel, wild water ride, wild mouse or other rides - every operator will make the ride of your choice possible so that your day at the Cannstatter Volksfest is unforgettable.

Toilet for all

For many people, using public toilets is a matter of course. However, this is not the case for people with severe and multiple disabilities who cannot use a “traditional” toilet because, for example, they rely on diapers or have limited mobility and therefore have different needs.

The concept of “toilets for all” aims to ensure that everyone can use the “quiet little place”. To make this possible, a large room with sufficient space for an adult care couch and a patient hoist for transferring from the wheelchair to the couch or toilet is required. A hygienic diaper bin is also essential.

The “toilet for all” helps to make the Volksfest more inclusive bit by bit. If there is no key for the toilet for all, the cleaning staff on site have one and can hand it out.
